What We Do
At ELI, we help move people forward—one family at a time, one goal at a time. We operate within four pillars of need for the community: education, workforce development, housing and nutrition.
We have found housing to be a large barrier for families in becoming sustainable. That is why one of our main goals is to help families find safe and affordable housing. ELI currently owns 7 houses in the East Lake neighborhood. All of these are occupied by families in the Thrive Together program at a subsidized rate.
Our Services
We take a coaching approach rather than a traditional case management style. In action, this means our coaches hold smaller caseloads, create actionable service plans based on clients’ goals and strengths, and coordinate with community organizations to streamline access to a variety of resources for their clients. Our coaches meet with clients once a month to establish a monthly budget, set goals, improve credit score and provide counsel.
What we do is help move people forward and learn to face challenges as they come. This way they do not have to go back to coaching in the future yet operate from a place of self sustainability.
Our services take the form of what our clients need most. These often include:
Housing
Workforce Development
Financial Literacy
Success Coaching
Food Market
Utility Assistance
Tutoring
